With over 5000 roses, the Victoria State Rose Garden is one of Melbourne’s favourite free tourist attractions, located within Werribee Park adjacent to the Werribee Park Mansion.
The gardens cover about 5 hectares and are maintained by volunteers who recommend the best time to visit is in November, when the first blooms for the spring season are at their flowering peak. March is also a great time to see the flowers in autumn, but there are always roses blooming in the Garden from early October until late July.
The Victoria State Rose Gardens are open everyday, opening hours are from April to Sept 9.30 till 5 pm. From October to March 9.30 till 6.00pm.
