Marie Wallace Bayswater Park fondly know as the ‘Train Park’ is located just off Mountain Highway in Melbourne’s eastern suburb of Bayswater.
The playground is one of Victoria’s best and biggest parks to spend the whole day at, just pack the bikes, scooters, basketball, tennis rackets, balls, camera and plenty of snacks.
Divided into a number of play spaces, the kids will love the huge main multi level timber playground with slides, bridges, climbing equipment, monkey bars, swings, flying fox, there’s something for all ages around each corner.
Other surrounding playground equipment includes a mega sand pit, rock and rope climbing walls, basketball court, lounging lizards, hippos and a life size elephant slide. Children can also climb aboard and drive a real vintage red steam train.
Bring your own bike, scooter or trike, pop on a helmet and ride over to the free bicycle education training area, where kids can learn road rules and ride safety.
The fun track is a circular loop perfect for parents to watch toddlers and pre-schoolers from the sidelines. Complete with walking pathways, pedestrian crossings, real working traffic lights, a round-about, road markings and signage.
