Bendigo Botanic Gardens Play Space is inspired by 19th century gardens and Lewis Carroll’s popular children’s book Alice in Wonderland.
The play space features a series of garden rooms enclosed by hedges and encourages children to explore and play imaginatively. In the Secret Garden, children will discover treasures such as the hidden mirror and special child-size mushroom table and chairs.
On the Alice in Wonderland-inspired roly-poly lawn children can play croquet or simply enjoy rolling around on the grassy slopes. They can also climb to the top of the fort and look over the gardens and pretend to be the king or queen in the oversize throne chair.
The Gardens are open from 7:30am to 9pm (Daylight Savings Time) or 7:30am to 6pm (EST).
