Once an abandoned railway yard, Wendy’s Secret Garden is now a secret sanctuary with amazing harbour views. Wendy Whitely, an artist, went through the process of grieving for her husband artist Brett Whitely by spending time on the neglected patch of land below her home, which sloped down to the railway line skirting around Lavender Bay.

Explore the gardens by weaving up and down the narrow pathways, and discover private seated picnic areas. Let the little ones find fairy doors, animal sculptures, bikes and old relics that a scattered throughout. But most importantly, just sit back and enjoy the view through all the beautiful plants.
