What a wonderful way to spend a one-on-one date with my littlest man. The Langham’s children High Tea is one that is truely lavish and one that will always be remembered as a favourite of mine.
Set in The Langham’s beautiful Palm Court, we were warmly greeted by the staff and promptly sat at a comfortable booth. Provided with drawing utensils and an activity book, we entertained ourselves with the puzzles and colouring-in while we waited for our Paddington 2 Children’s High Tea to arrive.
While happily enjoying the ambiance of the venue, we were surprised by the prompt service of our High Tea selection. For myself, I was treated to a selection of homemade pastries and cakes, which included Pistachio & Raspberry Bon Bon; Chocolate Cherry Macaroon; Coconut & Passionfruit Dome; Rosewater Lamington; Chocolate & Salted Caramel Cups; and the Langham’s signature Scones with jam and cream. The savoury component was just as delightful as the sweet, which included Turkey, Brie & Cranberry Sandwich; King Salmon, Wasabi & Charcoal Cone; Roast Beef & Horseradish Sandwich; Curried Egg, Creme Fraiche & Caviar Tartlet; Rabbit & Pork Rillettes; and Egg & Bacon Quiche. The serving sizes were generous, and I was happily full by day’s end.
The Paddington 2 Children’s High Tea for my youngest included a Paddington Bear’s Caramel Suitcase; Banana Chocolate flavoured Gum Boots; Chocolate Bear Cupcakes; and Shortbread Jacket. He also enjoyed a mini Beef Burger; Egg & Bacon Quiche; Sandwiches; Creme Fraiche & Caviar Tartlet; and the Langham’s signature Scones with jam and cream.
We were in awe of the High Tea’s beautiful presentation, especially the gorgeously crafted Paddington Bear treats. The High Tea surpassed my every expectation, especially with Master 1.5 years old, who sat by my side the entire duration. It is definitely an experience for the whole family (or maybe a special one-on-one date).
The Paddington Children’s High Tea is still on for the remainder of the Summer School Holidays. Bookings are essential.
