There is plenty of fun in store for this years Tesselaar Tulip Festival. Visitors will be amazed by the beauty of 900,000 tulips in bloom across 25 acres of farmland, all set in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges.

The Children’s Get Active week (Sept 25 – 28) kick starts the school holidays with the ever lovable Peppa Pig and her little brother George daily on the Main Stage. In addition, kids can dance with Ruby Ray and the Funky Monkeys, participate in African drumming and hula hoop workshops, play with animals in the petting zoo or make a trip to fairy hollow.
In the second week of the school holidays, children are encouraged to come along dressed as their favourite hero or character during the Children’s Superhero Week (Oct 2 – 5) with spot prizes given out every day. Join Poppy and Branch from the DreamWorks movie Trolls, starring in daily shows, along with Melbourne’s own MikMaks, craft workshops, storytelling and treasure hunts.
The Tesselaar Tulip Festival runs over four weeks, September 14 – October 10, with themed weeks and weekends including Over the Rainbow week (18 – 21 Sept) a Food, Wine and Jazz weekend (29 Sept – 1 Oct) where you can eat, drink and be merry; and the popular Turkish (15 – 17 Sept), Dutch (22 – 24 Sept) and Irish (6 – 8 Oct) weekends – celebrating the origins of the tulips and the gold at the end of the rainbow!
