The Lake Macquarie Variety Playground (LMVP) is located in Speers Point Park on the northern shores of Lake Macquarie, NSW.
It caters for the needs of children of all ages and all abilities to ensure that everyone can play and interact together.
Equipment in the playground focuses on climbing and the development of confidence, upper body strength, and bone density development.
Play equipment includes: Wheelchair accessible play boat, Decks, ramps and climbing frames, Music play elements, Custom designed spider web net, Spinning equipment, Two double slides, Accessible water play, A giant 9 metre spiral slide, Double flying fox, Climbing structures, including a 12-metre high climbing tower and climbing nets, A maze, A range of swings, Tactile orientation totem poles and A bike circuit with two intersecting tracks.
Sal’s Café by the Lake is operated by the Salvation Army, and is located near the large climbing tower.
