Do you have a budding scientist? We want to show the next generation how fun and inspiring science can be.

On Sunday 21 August, the Monash University Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences will host a National Science Week event as part of our Community Open Day at the Parkville campus.

Your kids can learn how to make fizzy sherbet, create their own slime and see some spectacular science demonstrations run by current PhD students. Activities are recommended for 5 – 15 year olds.

There will also be plenty of family fun including face painting, food trucks and live music and entertainment. Drop by the pop up dispensary bar and choose from a selection of science themed refreshments (non-alcoholic) – or mix and match to come up with your own unique fusion.

Bigger kids can take a “Drug Discovery Pipeline” tour and ask our researchers how they are tackling some of the world’s biggest problems including Alzheimer’s, cancer and superbugs.

We hope to see you and your family there!
